Originally, Steven Spielberg's short-lived animation studio (Amblimation), was going to make this movie. Character sketches were already made, but the studio was shut down.
For a show that takes about 6 days to produce one episode, the storyboards in South Park actually looks impressive.
I know the animation in South Park is suppose to be dull and prosaic, but damn I wish it had more funny expressions like these.
