People who honestly think "the One Piece was the journey all along", either misunderstand the writing or have never actually read/watched the series. Not only has Oda said on multiple occasions that it was something physical but there are so many hints that say otherwise.

#onepiece1019 My buddy @_Wyvernn brought up some really good evidence about why Yamato could be a Qilin. Qilin's are dragon-like creatures that only appear with the arrival of a ruler (Luffy). Not only that but they ONLY punish those who are mean and cruel (Kaido).
