    Shout out to Yoshitaka Amano for adding weird little critters in his artwork who might or might not be actual creatures in the Final Fantasy-games. They're weird, yet they look natural in the artwork. I wanted to channel the energy when adding the odd fellas in the piece.

    Before the first chapter I did few "pre-production"-illustrations to show the overall mood what the comic was going to be like. Some of these depict scenes already seen in the story one way or another, while others show glimpses of what to come.

    In the early stages the side character Tuikku (from chapter 7 onward) was about to be the 4th main character instead of Taimi. As I thought about it more, having a less serious-looking character like Taimi balanced out the heavy topics. Notice how her job also was given to Taimi.
