Sometimes I think about how an ancient Yoshi's Island manga contained references to scrapped elements of the game two decades prior to the great data leaks, in this case the presence of Bowser's father behind the kidnappings and him being a blond.
These mangas are very not canon but still super interesting. It seems the artists might've had insight before the games were released since two artists from the Yoshi's Island 4KOMA manga reference Mario turning adult after grabbing a star, something that was scrapped early on.
