I haven't seen much talk anywhere about Craig Thompson's latest work, Ginseng Roots. It's a really interesting history of the Wisconsin ginseng boom, while also being a sequel (of sorts) to Blankets. It meditates on narrative compromises and the odd feeling of returning home.
