please read witch hat atelier I'm literally begging you 😭
genuinely speaking witch hat atelier is one of the most beautiful series I've read in a long time. It also deals with a number of topics regarding ethics, the treatment of children in education systems, and ableism all from the viewpoint of a magical world.
In the story magic is something that anyone can harness but anyone who isn't a witch believes it's a gift. Magic that in anyway impacts a human (even if it heals) is forbidden and met with black and white justice which erases any nuance. It has a cast of many differing abilities.
There are characters who are in wheelchairs, characters who are partially sighted, characters who have learning disabilities, and characters who come from abusive situations. All address their problems with the society they live in and how they feel it can be changed.
At the core of the story however is a message of being mindful of one another, showing others kindness, and treating children most of all with the simple respect of being a fellow human being. It is so positive and moving its a kind story that I think everyone needs right now.
