As revealed by IDW's Sonic the Hedgehog: Winter Jam, Dr. Eggman has many holiday themed schemes doodled up, including a Santa Claus outfit for himself, a snowman topped with Sonic's severed head, and most importantly, Metal Sonic in an elf suit.

In Archie's Sonic Universe #5, when Sonic and Sally marry after timeline shenanigans erased their marriage, they clearly did not wait to procreate. Almost 9 whole months (three seasons) after getting married, Sally gave birth to twins.

Sega has mandated that Sonic X is not to be referenced in IDW comics. Despite this, they seem to pick and choose elements from the show they want to see; in the 1/18/21 BumbleKast, Ian Flynn reveals that Sega had sent him a note requesting to see Vector's crush on Vanilla again.

Tails is very discontent with the fact that Eggman has settled on making Tails Doll rather than a Metal Tails. Moreover, this suggests that he finds Metal Sonic and Knuckles to be particularly cool.

According to Super Smash Bros. Brawl's trophy description for Cream, Vanilla is a strict mother. This appears to be hinted at in IDW #36, where she appears to intimidate even the likes of Rouge. There seems to be a very scary mistress in Vanilla.

In 2015, it was revealed that Ian Flynn, Tracey Yardley!, and Ben Bates of Archie Sonic the Hedgehog fame had pitched a line of Super Mario comics to Nintendo. It was ultimately rejected. Allegedly, Mario was also intended to cross over with Sonic and Mega Man in comic form.
