something else to note is that the only time laios actually gets mad is when people point out his social ineptitude. it really embarrasses him but obviously there's not much he can really do about it, because people just go over his head

I think kabru is the funniest character, I can't think of anyone else thats just so effortlessly hilarious because of the shit he gets wrapped up in, and it's his own fault. he's a genuinely good and heroic person, maybe even more than laios, but you love to see him go through it

tbh my favorite part of dungeon meshi is that this panel, izutsumi is clearly referencing this crying cat meme, which came from a picture of my cat inkky. :) inkky passed away in 2020 but tbh i feel a special attachment to izutsumi because of this one panel, like...thats my girl

i love when kui draws laios completely neutral and he has this air of quiet misery and apathy to him. i haven't noticed that in the anime yet. he exudes this aura of boredom and resentment sometimes, the way she draws him.
