The next page is the set up: as Sylvia leaves the tram and walks she encounters a church, in this instance she feels drawn to enter, notice also how it changes from a sunny day to the pressing ambience of candles humidity and darkness, usually comforting but not here
but I also want to take care of the this instance: if I'm. It forcing you to think I'm not doing my job, I don't want you to think "church evil/good!" I want you to give you her perspective ONLY, and I always imagine "what is my reader getting for this? sre they curious?"
This is how she feels, but what do you think? How are you conceiving this scene? Writing for me, is laying questions you don't Have all the answers to, you never will but you can get a perspective, Sylvia, is scared but this is also "just a building" for someone else as we'll see
Also, notice how I'm playing with the composition, the church is always taller than the people, unless the humans (equals) are looking at each other, the mythos/ideal is always above them:
Again; remember, the perspective we get a fear of it because Sylvia is terrified, but what about the woman? She's calm Praying, For this book I wanted to play with this double notion
How it started vs how it ended
