@rrockne When they're in sketchbooks and from direct observation I just tend to call them sketches. Some are taken much further than others, that's true, so it's fair to call them drawings. Here's something that's a little more "finished" at least to me:

Linda's sewing area in our bedroom has become a mask factory. She's made about 40 so far. #uskathome #covidart

These seem to get seen more when they're not in a thread so here's a sketch of Linda sewing masks in the bedroom/sewing space. #uskathome #quarantineart

@TetZoo What do you know about this? This preserved Edmontosaur manus got little attention (at least to my memory) back in 2014 (image middle right). From a paper by Albert Prieto-Márquez in Vol 50 of Cretaceous Research. Looks like an obvious hoof there. https://t.co/Gp1tQInTrY

The difference 15 years of practice makes.

Year in review 2019: family sketches. First up: Juni (4yo) tried to tell me she wasn't sleepy and wouldn't lie down.

Point of view sketches over the years.

Linda's sewing space, 6 years ago.

Two years ago, sketching Juni in remote kindergarten.

Sketching the sketchers

Will and Tom at life drawing

Three years ago I was losing my mind in quarantine and sketched the engine compartment of my `06 Camry.

Still love this one.

Sketching Juni doing some coding on her iPad.
