Fifteen years ago today I flew from Montana to Italy. En route I began my sketching habit in a Moleskine my painting prof Sara Mast suggested I bring.


Sometimes these wide angle sketches that start out as landscapes work better in portrait format.

15 years ago today I was still at the very beginning of my urban sketching journey, taking a paper making workshop with Franco Conti in Acireale, Sicily at the foot of Mt Aetna.
