Toriyama's influence on Downtown Dungeon... It should come to no surprise that the Slimes in DD were partially inspired by Dragon Quest. Additionally, Erdrick (who shares his name with another legendary hero) wears an outfit that is similar the one Crono wore in Chrono Trigger.
