I think some people are missing the point of this feature lol. The original lineart on paper is not drawn with pencil or texture, it's drawn with crisp black lines with ink. Using the tools in the video bring the scan back to its original state, and make it clean and professional

A lot of beginner artists struggle with line art because they strain their arm/hand to draw lines from awkward positions, when all you need to do is rotate the canvas/paper then flick your wrist to make a clean stroke. No wrist injury and clean lines ✨

The main reason is: reducing printing costs. A lot of printers only give options to print either in Color or Monochrome (black and white). If you paint with gray, you have to print it in color which is going to cost WAY more than just printing in monochrome.
Also when printing in gray the printer might add a weird color tone that wasnt intended so the final printed product will look different than the digital version. Using tone helps to reduce that risk since only black ink is used.
