Joyce Lankester Brisley (1896-1978) English writer. She wrote and illustrated the Milly-Molly-Mandy series, which were first printed in 1925 by the Christian Science Monitor.

Hideko Mizuno (born in 1939) One of the first successful female Japanese shōjo manga artists.[1] She was an assistant of Osamu Tezuka staying in Tokiwa-sō. She made her professional debut in 1955 with Akakke Kōma Pony, a Western story with a tomboy heroine.
