Done! I had a blast (pun not intended) drawing this

And here's the 2022 re-do. I actually see a ton of things I don't like in this one, but that's good since I plan to revisit these two guys down the road anyway

For those interested, here are the steps of the Apocalypse / Cable illustration. Fist: thumbnail. After doing some very loose doodles, I arrived to the one I liked (this is 5 x 7 cm or 2 x 3 inches, roughly)

Step 2: still rough, but more detail. Now I'm drawing on a larger scale. I'm just setting up the shapes and positions at this spot. You'll notice that stuff will move around a bit by the time the drawing is finished
