#DrFatetober DAY THIRTY-ONE: SALEM Today's prompt -- the final prompt of the month! -- suggested by @robstaeger ?⬛ That's a wrap! Thanks to everyone who suggested prompts, and to everyone who enjoyed this kooky little project. I certainly did. HAPPY HALLOWEEN!
A cool little piece of stagecraft in Brubaker, Phillips, & Phillips' PULP: writer Max Winters and his editor argue over the ending of his latest story, an argument where the editor holds all the cards. He strikes a line through the ending at the a start of their discussion...
...and the red line continues to be visible throughout the scene, underlining how the editor has all the power here, the decision's been made, and this really isn't a discussion. I thought it was a cool way to give a visual hook to a spoken conversation about words on a page.
Incidentally - if you're looking for a good salt n' vinegar Election Day read, you could do a hell of a lot worse than PULP. Ed Brubaker, Sean and Jacob Phillips, Image Comics. I think it pairs pretty well. https://t.co/SEQccB6vVE
