Found this in an old notebook: Albert, an artifact from a verrry early version of LAVENDER JACK where Ducky was married to the Bastrop Manor butler. Al wasn't in on the LJ operation, so he was constantly in his feelings over how much time his wife spent w/ the master of the house

The Spider - "Master of Men" - is millionaire WWI veteran Richard Wentworth, a crack shot and master of disguise. He's assisted by a couple of old war buddies and his fiancée, Nita Van Sloan, who occasionally stands in as the Spider when he gets injured.
