Tom King and Greg Smallwood's THE HUMAN TARGET continues to be a ridiculously cool comic book - but not so cool as to make a fuss. Which makes it cooler.

This issue is really sexy in a very smooth, subdued way. It's also first time I can think of where Ted Kord - swell guy, of course, genuine hero - feels credibly like a billionaire. Humble and generous, but with this subconscious pushiness you aren't really allowed to say no to.

Hard to actually be a man of the people when, you know, you aren't. You're just doing your best impression. Which gives him perfect chemistry with Christopher Chance: literal everyman. An observer impressionist to Ted's projector.

A conversation this morning made me revisit this short thread I did about how we view creative credit as regards long-running corporate IP characters, which turns over some ideas I'd say I still stand behind: https://t.co/98cBU0nOGd
