I'm working on a tutorial and wanted to do some loose figure studies... but I got a little carried away ?

Out today!! Issue 7 of the #SandmanUniverse "The Dreaming" (written by the incredible @sispurrier) is the first of a romantic two-parter that I'm honored to have worked on. Here are some of my early sketches from it ?

Here's the very messy 2019 sketch and the 2013 painting! I drew over the 2013 piece with a light table, and then reworked the features I needed to fix (gave her a late 1850's dress and era-appropriate hairstyle, updated the goblin design, drew a background, etc)
