This piece was inspired by old cooking ads! This was also the first time I think I've ever been able to figure out how long a piece took me (thanks @AutumnSketching for chatting with me about poisonous plants while I worked on this) 6 hours to color, 11 hours of work in total ?
The witch in this piece is based loosely on Muma Pădurii of Romanian folklore - a forest dwelling crone who protects the woods and the creatures in it. She appears briefly in one of my upcoming projects ? Here are some of my character sketches of her
