"Long Jump" pages 1-3, drawn by @TNerocrane Hugo Feal-Permuy. An Olympic athlete gives up her dreams but regrets it when a kaiju attacks her city. 2/3

"The Wake" pages 1 & 2, line art by @LVCIFERX Joshua Green, colors by me. A days work for a rescue team following a daikaiju's path of destruction. 3/3

14) One thing I'm trying to improve on is drawing faces in profile. I also think there's too much of a style gap between my digital and traditional art. Long list of things I wish I had more time to practice - perspective, shoes, cars, dynamic layouts, small figures, shadows…

15) Architecture, vehicles & fashion. I don't know anything about these things and worry people will notice that I picked some random reference that doesn't fit the scene or character. I find technical perspective grids no fun at all, which sometimes limits me to "flat" layouts.

18) My work has definitely improved significantly since I started taking drawing more seriously around 2015. Here are some of my very first comic portfolio pages, back when I thought it was worth my time drawing popular characters.

This Toppi page is incredible.

What do I need to do to get hired to draw TMNT or Godzilla for @IDWPublishing ?

Trap Jaw art card. Fun character I've never drawn before. Can I tell you a secret? I've never watched an episode of He-Man and the Masters of the Universe.

Master Peace & Hoj Poj line art. See below for the tattoo version. I'm sure some of you are disappointed this isn't a little more 🌶 🌶 🌶 but I decided to keep it soft R for this first piece.

How did people draw things like this before the internet? Did every illustrator have a room full of prop weapons?

@GailSimone I get why Cho's juvenile sense of humor turns people off, but he is an incredibly skilled artist and can do so much more than the T&A he is known for.

Almost done with my reread of the Archie Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles comics. I probably had about 1/4 of the entire series collected as a kid and they made a big impact. Every once in a while, especially later in the run, you'd get some surprisingly not for kids moments.

I'm curious to see how this ends up turning out. I'm thinking I better jump into inks instead of fussing over the pencils.
