    Here's a bit of work I did on some Echo Arena cosmetics with Scot Andreason and Hokeun Choi. It's a bit unlike the personal paintings I share here, but working to realize this 'Automaton' chassis was a lot of fun nonetheless. I'll show my side of the process from start to finish.

    We picked the cast iron/steam-punk theme from a bunch of other ideation sketches I'd done- I can't share any of those because they might appear in future seasons of Echo VR! But after Hokeun saw my sketch, he made a rough blockout for us to test in game, and I worked on refining.

    Because of full-body presence in VR, the theming and detail on the wrists is extremely important; working close with 3d matters here, as well as sending drawovers frequently. I added some color codes to the arm pistons to distinguish them from one another in various perspectives.
