It is the 35th anniversary of Katsuhiro Otomo's animated film AKIRA ( released July 16, 1988 ). The film is the single biggest inspiration that got me to work in animation/vfx and getting hired on Freedom (2006-7) remains a very memorable highlight of my career. 🥲😌
Fireball is a collection of 12 short manga pieces drawn by Katsuhiro Otomo during the period 1978-79 when he was around the age of 24/25, including the title piece that is a sci-fi precursor to DOMU & AKIRA. See more in my review - #大友全集 #大友克洋
