followed by GEN3 AU, where nick is (unwillingly) upgraded to the next generation of synthetic personhood, and it sucks on ice. lots of mention of disassociation, dysphoria, anxiety/depression, and ptsd

ALIENS AU.... nick plays a synthetic person assigned to a civilian transport ship, which also happens to carry one tua martínez, as well as her 11 yr old nephew tomás whomst she is shepherding back to his mother's colony planet. nick puts a facehugger in a garbage disposal.
