7. Children of the sea - Daisuke Igarashi. Recently the animated movie came out so many might know, but make sure to check out the comic too ! He is so great at drawing natures and sea even though they are black and white. Don't miss out on his "Designs" comic series too!
8. Osen - Shota Kikuchi. I'm sad I never met anyone who read his work before. But his line works and a passion for Japanese culinary is so fascinating. His recent series " Ruri and King of Cooking" is such a gem too ✨ If anyone is interested in Japanese food history, this is it.
9. Bananafish - Akimi Yoshida. Anime was great too but manga has way more intimacy and style change transition through out the series is just beautiful. It's about a war with mafia boss and young gang leader + Japanese boy in NY. Make sure to read " Garden of Light" afterwards.
10. Genius Family Company - Tomoko Ninomiya. ( who did Nodame Cantabile ) another underrated comic of hers. About a gifted, petty and egocentric high schooler, intends to work in the high financial world but with his mom's remarriage, his life turn into jeopardy ? It's sooo good
11. Nabari no Ou - Yuki Kamatani. Supernatural ninja stories with apathetic high school student finding a true friendship. Lineworks are just gorgeous... Also "Shonen note" (♫??)and "Our Dreams at Dusk" (?️?) is great too.
