By the time of "How I Spent My Summer Vacation," Hamton's character design got revamped. The latter design was given a smaller head, a bigger body, bigger floppier ears, and a more expressive face. It's interesting to see how the TTA crew evolved design-wise over the years

After the passing of Charles Schulz, multiple newspaper cartoonists paid tribute to him in their own strips. This is the one Jim Davis drew. For those who don't know, Davis gives Schulz credit for helping him figure out how to draw Garfield on two legs.
I am very uncomfortable with what this scene implies.
