i hate it when i'm posing and staring into the distance dramatically yet prettily and suddenly there's blood in my face
it just dawned on me that there is uh... A Lot of either casual or Dramatic death and murder in practically all the works of josei and shojo mangaka chie shinohara lol
i can tolerate the straights if it is about a flying girl visiting her normal human boyfriend to pose dramatically in front of a full moon before kissing
i like how in purple eyes in the dark the protagonist's eyes are drawn in a completely different style to convey they have changed color (since they can't *actually* change color in a black and white medium lol)
it seems to me that we do not talk enough about vintage horror shojo
japanese girl gangs by Fumiaki Fukuda, 1979
the way hayashi has drawn eiji recently. .. art
doting husband eiji is powerful content!
the way riyoko ikeda's art evolution perfectly captures the style evolution of her medium throughout the 70s-90s
i for one cannot ignore the power of akane's very cute and very soft dreses
love how lum looks like she's floating in a shojo-esque dreamy atmosphere here
