Here's the two initial sketches for this piece. Ultimately went for the second one because the sickles made him look like he has demon horns and i was like.. heck yes!
Started off with a super simple/rough sketch and just went with it. I kinda had the entire painting in my head before I started this one 😅
Went through many sketch poses before I finalized on this one. I really wanted it to be dynamic, but also reflect on the fight, show off the area where you fight and also capture that dark gloomy mood
The compositing and balancing of the line art and characters was probably the toughest part of the entire artwork. I even left Kos out until the last moment thinking the composition wasnt working well
