This week's Donald Duck magazine has has another comic I drew on the back. Still odd to come home and find a colored version in the mailbox!
First scribbles for the page, there's usually a lot of searching involved. Unless you do your own writing you get provided with rough drawings from the writer. How far I stray varies per comic. In this case Gerard Leever (and Mathys vd Harst) already did half of the work for me.

It's exactly 77 years ago today that José Carioca's animation debut 'Saludos Amigos' came out, I just had to make a sketch! (I hope I spelled the Portuguese correctly!)
People keep sharing those relatable mirrored drawing pictures like it's a 'digital artist only' thing, but I learned it from this Disney comic book in 1996 (and I keep a pocket mirror in my pencil case)
