Managed to rein myself in today to work on Memorabilia. I'm aiming to finish the lineart in the next few days so I can colour/plan the next chapter :D
I stumbled upon Scott McCloud's "Understanding Comics" in the local library last year. It turned out to be the best book about comics I've ever read. I still think about his apple analogy every time I explain why I like or dislike a game or show or comic.
The colouring begins! I'm taking a trip to south england starting tomorrow, so no updates in the next few days :)
I thought I'd take a break from drawing during my trip but nope xD Ran to nearest art supply store on the first day. So, here are some sketches of places real and fictional.
Also tried drawing people with pen and ink... Three years of drawing a comic digitally did no favours for my traditional skills! They were gut-wrenchingly ugly at first but figured I had to let myself fail if I wanted to learn anything new :^)
A quick lighting tutorial I made for my discord uwu
#FFXIV I wish this happened during the patches :'(
8 years and 900+ pages later, my comic project Memorabilia is complete! I've made some final updates to the project site. You can read the comic here: https://t.co/U1IoST9tNW
