Cole using Woozy's head as a panel to show what he is thinking is brilliant. Cole is good for at least one innovative use of comics per story. So surprised that none of his Cole-isms caught on more.

I love Sound FX in comics & hope they get used more across all genre. I think the push to make comics feel "realistic" or "cinematic" limits what the medium can do. Comics has a specific grammar that folks keep wanting to cast aside/replace with cinematic language. Mazz gets it.
