I'm reading/rereading bits of Astro Boy and Black Jack right now, great stuff. Even though the stories are pretty simple by today's standards, I think they still hold up. From what I can tell, people don't really make manga like this anymore
Last point-- I can't believe I don't ever see people bring up Black Jack as an anime sex symbol. It's funny, too, because it totally lives in Tezuka's art style-- people have tried to depict him in more conventional "hot" manga styles and it totally kills the appeal lol
