One of my favourite parts of Link's characterization in the tp manga is that he values his purpose & sees his worth apart from his destiny. He's self aware, has insecurities & after accepting his role as the hero he's not about blindly devoting his entire life to the royal family

context: the girl is Himekawa's original character, Anika, the last survivor of an abandoned village (reminiscent of the hidden village). She helps Link recover after a near death experience & he helps her face the traumas that have haunted her. In a sense they save each other
