(6/?) The sphinx of Thebes is usually drawn quite elegantly in ancient art, so I wanted to bring back some of her more bestial qualities. Her name is the Strangler after all. Despite having immortality through her widespread fame, she still craved a second chance at life.
(7/?) This was a preparatory sketch I made for Chapter 18, Primordial Winter.
There's little information on Moros, the god that drives men to their inevitable doom. He's listed in the Theogony as a child of Nyx and Prometheus replaces him with Elpis (false hope) so humankind can live on (the Pandora myth!). His tattoos here are also very Scythian. (10/?)
She's a child of Persephone and Hades and I think the sickle here might actually be a callback to Kronos' sickle of adamant? I'm not sure what the dagger is referring to though, might just be a fun other weapon for dual wielding! (14/?)
I was literally making these Hekate concepts for wasting beats a couple months ago.... and now we have a canon design.... what the hell is happening..... 😳😳😳

(3/?) Callisto is actually shorter than Zagreus in human-form. Even though her eyes are supposed to be warm-brown, I always end up drawing them lightly for some reason. Maybe because her stare is so intense? In the original drafts, she appeared much later in the story.
(5/?) The first thumbnail is of the Phaedridades, the limestone cliffs at Delphi. The Oracle's house is based off the Corycian Cave. Apollo was designed as a foil to his sister, and meant to be sensual, youthful, and alarming. Below, there is an earlier version of the stoa scene.
