this chapter has to be one of my favorite chapters in vinland saga. love the build up to this moment as hild, previously an outsider and observer, slowly integrates herself as a member of thorfinn's community and realizing that there is so much more than this hate she harbors
yukimura executes hild's forgiveness so flawlessly and portrays both hild's and thorfinn's peace and relief with such care bc THIS is a big deal for BOTH. for hild, to let go of her anger and forgive the one who wronged her. for thorfinn, who feels elated that his sin is forgiven
