sewing tip of the day: learn how long a yard is on your body so you can measure stash fabrics quickly! for example, i'm 5'5 and a yard is about the length of my arm+width of my torso.
this also extends to visualizing other lengths, which helps me predict yardages i'll need for a project: 60" wide fabric, fully extended, comes up to about my nose. 45" wide fabric is about the length from my armpit to just above my foot.
I also did some very quick color keys of some frames to make sure all the elements would go together well!
