In this Sonic the Hedgehog origin comic from the early 90s, there's something awfully familiar about the pre-Eggman doctor...
My favorite of the bizarre Sonic origin stories has to be the Troll Associates chapter books: Sonic and Robotnik were orphans raised by Uncle Chuck. After his robot-building endangers Chuck, Robotnik disappears for a decade and returns as a world conqueror!
@Acelister It was! Though it was a dream sequence in that issue. Not sure which came first, to be honest.
Here's something fun! 3 different coloring styles, from 3 different Archie books drawn by @Supajoe! The rendering style in each is pretty identical: cel-shading, Hard Light layers for some lighting, alot of the same brushes. The differences are mostly in choice of colors.

Some more Sonic art treasures: A bunch of Sonic SatAM storyboard drawings by Dan Kubat have been hitting eBay recently, too. (SatAM is a hard show to collect for - there is not a lot of cels out in the wild.)
Last call on a lot of original art currently on a big sale on the online store! (Link below.)
Found a real blast from the past when I was cleaning in the office: original @yardleyart! I wanna say I picked these up from Tracy at Heroes Con in 2006? Now that I have a lot more walls, think it's time I got some of these framed!
Happy #NewComicBookDay! A brand new Tales of Aether is out on Comixology now! Written by @IanFlynnBKC, interiors by @JLawrence_Art & me with lettering by Jack Morelli! (And check that wicked cover by @Jampolinski that I got to color, too!) Buy it-->> https://t.co/nqPZpyEJ0f
