Classic Sonic has a perfect sphere shaped body, while the cartoon characters he was inspired by have more of a bean shape. I feel like he might be limited in posing and exaggeration because of that. He actually has the bean shape in the American cartoons though. 3

I dont think eyelids should NEVER be used, but forces and frontiers rely on them too much. I know frontiers does move his brows a little bit, but that should be the primary way for him to emote. Sonic is a cartoon character and should have exaggerated expressions. 4
