One of basis I stabilished for issue #1 was to try to separate both eras through the layouts. The more "in your face" 90's reality vs the grid based layout of the dull 00's.

Then, when shit start happening again, the panel graduality get some of the crazyness of the old times, back. Also, from the first time I read the script I wanted Mike to lose, and to regain in the last pages, the same eyes he had in the beginning, to show that he's awoke.

Plus, designing the gangs and the first time they appear in the book was super cool!
