God, drawing hands is SO hard… here are some studies I did today + some notes I took from popping in on one of Dave Zaboski's (Disney animator) art stream (he had some good advice on hands)

Also got the ok to share my original sketches/WIP before we changed direction I wanted to do something super complex but it did not fit the campaign, but I still like these sketches enough I thought I'd share what I originally wanted!
Another thing about Austin Briggs' art I love: many artists tend to forget the subtleties in human expression The slight tilt of the head. The gestures of the hand. He captures all of it so so well Learning anatomy is easy - but mastering drawing organic human behavior? HARD
Last night I came to a realization that I would like to become one of those artists who draws really nice horses. And so, my horse art journey begins! Stroke by stroke I shall conquer the art of drawing these magnificent beasts.....!
