Spent an hour watching an episode of Midnight Mass (giving it a second watch-through) and starting the tight pencils on the final level of the Santa playset: the stables. (a local friend let me visit her stables and carriage/sleigh house for reference, and it's been very helpful)
A few years back I drove up 41 to see the spot where Big Headless Harpe's skull hung for a hundred and eleven years, and found the historical marker where it was supposed to be, but it seemed odd at the time - the head was supposed to have been hung at a crossroads, and... 1/

Thought I'd share my approach to placing figures in an environment, which I use a lot in wider shots that establish the location of a given scene and the spatial relationships of the characters to it, and to each other.
Today's Charles Schulz's 100th birthday. Peanuts means a lot to me and my family, but there's one factor of his work that I've thought about an awful lot, and which I wrote about in a (comics) essay for a Peanuts tribute book some years back. 1/2
