(5/14) Blessed with all of his newfound free-time (as the city burns down around him and hapless citizens are eaten alive) Akira decides to make the most of things by making a 100 item to-do list of everything he's ever wanted to accomplish, but never had the time.

(7/14) The zombies being taken seriously by both the narrative and the characters in it leads to a lot of legitimately pulse-pounding action-horror sequences, with Akira barely escaping with his life, even if he barely realizes it.

(9/14) Akira ends up meeting all sorts of characters in his travels, and wastes no time in encouraging them to pursue their own end-of-the-world life goals. Whether or not they survive long enough to make good on these ambitions is always up in the air, unfortunately.

(10/14) Whenever Zom 100 is allowed free-reign to lean fully into its zombie horror, the results are wonderful. An especially cool highlight is the Lucio Fulci inspired zombie shark that feels more than a little like an especially cool image from a Junji Ito story!

(11/14) As the series goes on, we get all kinds of genre homages. Zom 100 has the comedic chops and confidence to dip into the superhero genre and have it successfully work in the context of the story. And it's very funny.
