Ya'll aren't ready for how cute some of these dragons are. It was important when making the book that they feel more like real animals than mythical monsters. Occupying ecological niches, each with their own evolutionary histories and biological limitations. 4

Some of my first attempts at integrating A.I. art into my workflow. Quick paintovers of a bunch of what the machine spat out. Went for a kind of alien naturalist's guide style. The A.I.'s a little clumsy and unpredictable, but with time I hope it can be a useful design tool. 2
