this is not a hyper realistic tutorial but a mistake i often see (and used to make) is how feathers are layered in wings. after a certain point of stylization it doesn't matter but it really kicks me out of the moment to see realistic angel wings etc with backwards feathers lmao

i actually do have one other old thing i am uploading and that is this old #wranduin true detective redraw from 2015 because it still makes me laugh
I see even really high end artists do this thing with characters holding staves etc where their wrists bend at this super uncomfortable angle, I think because they just used their own closed fist as reference. Try a more dynamic wrap with the fingers!
