One of my favorite parts of working on #onyxequinox, was being able to design the gods. This was, of course, with the help from the codices and reliefs. There are different iterations but the iconography is mostly the same. Quetzalcoatl, Mictecacihuatl and Tezcatlipoca in order.

A couple days ago I was awarded the New Vision award for Onyx Equinox. I'm blown away by the support and reception of the show. The OE team is also incredibly deserving of this huge success. This is also their moment. Thank you again, Animation Magazine!

Onyx Equinox turns 13 years this September. It's crazy to imagine the growth the story and characters have gone through. There were many ups and downs, rejections, and false starts before I got where I am today. (pictured: 2011 class assignment not production.) #OnyxEquinox
