Im reading Stop!! Hibari-Kun again. I love this manga a lot. I feel the humor has aged better than a lot from that mid 80s era. Im actually really facinated by how itd written, judging by the cultural norms of that time.
The story is about Hibari, who by all accounts identifies as a girl, with a really old fashion father who still sees her as his son. And a romance between a boy who finds out that Hibari is technically "cross dressing". And while this sounds like itd be awful in terms of writing-
Its actually played really straight and while there a lot of jokes surrounding the "scenario" Hibari is NEVER the butt of the joke. Its always the people around her, stupid enough to have an issue with it.
And i mean.. look at hibari. Easily one of the cutest girls in magna, period. Such amazing fashion sense, and has so much confidence and personality

I finally finished Stop Hibari-Kun It's ending is super abrupt and borderline unfinished, but its a super cute and charming manga. Way ahead of its time. Hibari is peak character design. She is the cutest little shit alive.
Man. I know this is a tired comparison, but like Bones really doesnt capture what I love about Horikoshi's art. He isnt afraid to go visceral, but the anime is.
Never forget when the idw comics created the most powerful moment in any piece of sonic media in a single page.
It's gonna sound cliché, but I really wish I could tell him how much of an impact he had on me. Everything about his writing and drawings shaped me into who I am today. Peanuts is a huge part of my life. And will always be. #Peanuts70
And I cannot tell you how important this was at a young age. There is a ton of kids media that teaches you how to be happy. But what about kids media about how to be depressed? It's not like you'll be able to help it, so Peanuts has a beautiful way of making you feel less alone.
