Man. I know this is a tired comparison, but like Bones really doesnt capture what I love about Horikoshi's art. He isnt afraid to go visceral, but the anime is.
Since the very first season, I ways thought something felt kinda cheap in the animes aesthetics. And i know its a budgetting thing and such. But its so... digestible. Bright, colorful, flat. Just doesnt fit the vibes I get from Horikoshi's art.
I always say the peak anime arc is the tournament arc, because its an amazing adaptation. It captures the mood and drama perfectly. But thats pretty rare with the anime imo.
It makes me worried because that drama and impact is coming to a head and if they dont capture it well, it will lose a loooot of its appeal to me in the next arc. I get censoring for TV but, just overall, if it misses the mood, thats a huge detriment.
I know alot of people are anime only's with MHA. But I truly believe the manga hits about uh 200x harder? Probably. The manga art is unreal. Some of the best in the industry in my opinion. It subverts so much in the shonen genre because of it. Sucks the anime is kinda milquetoast

I finally finished Stop Hibari-Kun It's ending is super abrupt and borderline unfinished, but its a super cute and charming manga. Way ahead of its time. Hibari is peak character design. She is the cutest little shit alive.

It's gonna sound cliché, but I really wish I could tell him how much of an impact he had on me. Everything about his writing and drawings shaped me into who I am today. Peanuts is a huge part of my life. And will always be. #Peanuts70
And I cannot tell you how important this was at a young age. There is a ton of kids media that teaches you how to be happy. But what about kids media about how to be depressed? It's not like you'll be able to help it, so Peanuts has a beautiful way of making you feel less alone.
