@marysuewriter if anyone is interested, I think a dungeon meshi (by ryoko kui) is a very good examples of this, with a lot of thought put into the differences how races interact and perceive each other. the history goes beyond the page and you can see how it influences each characters thoughts.

@marysuewriter I've never seen a fantasy story treat the race & species with so much nuance and it's really refreshing
