i caught up on one piece. but by "caught up" i mean i was last caught up a decade ago and forgot everything that happened, so i started from near the beginning and sped my way through it all like it was my damn job
i was also astonished going back and rereading everything at marineford, the climax is practically 5 straight chapters of two-page spreads, either filled with really dense paneling or amazing setpiece explosions. just an incredible feat of storytelling and scale
being in a Kingdom Hearts Mood the last few days has inspired me to go back and read the manga adaptation. Shiro Amano is not only a really amazing artist but she does a really great job of filling the little gaps in kh's narrative to make everything feel more personable
