found more character designs we did for this film done in Mexico after El Tigre but before The Book of Life. I adore the muse's witch designs. The film was originally going to be done in flash.

I was just talking in an animation class about implied story in character design clothing. For grown up Manolo, he picked a black matador outfit. Why? Because black is the most used mariachi outfit color. Even as a matador, Manolo is telling us who he really is. Skulls everywhere…

The purple needs to be huge.
